Basic PlugShare Charger Tally update May 28th to June 3rd, 2013

This post will cover the PlugShare Charger additions activity for the week of May 28th to June 3rd, 2013 - as provided by PlugShare in their Android App, and is taken from daily screen captures at about 5 PM.

An interesting thing happened this week - the PlugShare system logged in it's 18,000th Charger shared on its website & apps on May 30th, at 11:20 AM:

May 28th = 17,957 total stations, (15 New Stations since the day before)
May 29th = 17,982 total stations, (25 New Stations since the day before)
May 30th = 18,808 total stations, (26 New Stations since the day before)
May 31st = 18,030 total stations, (22 New Stations since the day before)
June 1st = 18,056 total stations, (26 New Stations since the day before)
June 2nd = 18,091 total stations, (35 New Stations since the day before)
June 3rd = 18,088 total stations. (3 Less Stations than the day before*)

This brings us to 146 chargers added to the PlugShare system this week. This is an average of over 20 per day!

*You will notice there was a step back in the total on June 3rd: This is the Team at Xatori/Recargo - Cleaning up the Duplicated Charger Listings and adjusting the database to reflect the removed extra duplicates. 

Please check if there is a PlugShare Listing at that spot - before adding a new one! 
One Location I found seemed that there were OVER a DOZEN LISTINGS for ONE SINGLE CHARGER!!!

When gathering data for this Blog - I have often seen a new charger listed - which sounded familiar to one I had listed previously - and with a little review of the PlugShare Map - I found that the new listing was less than 100 feet from the previous listing. Often with pictures added - from a slightly different Angle - of the SAME EV CHARGER!!
Please check if there is a PlugShare Listing at that spot - before adding a new one! 

Basic PlugShare Charger Tally update May 21st to May 27th, 2013

Continuing with the simple theme of presenting the PlugShare Charger growth with a screenshot animation from my Galaxy Note Android Phone - of the PlugShare App report of how many stations they are listing - here is my update for May 21st to may 27th. The Friday is Missing (May 24th) in the loop, but you can still see the growth for the week.

Rather than make one post with 4 weeks listed here - I will make one post per week - with an animation for the week, and a count update. This will be quicker - and get the posts out for viewers to check out sooner!

May 21 = 17,790 total stations, (11 New Stations since the day before)
May 22 = 17,821 total stations, (31 New Stations since the day before)
May 23 = 17,848 total stations, (27 New Stations since the day before)
May 25 = 17,892 total stations, (44 New Stations since the day before)
May 26 = 17,913 total stations, (21 New Stations since the day before)
May 27 = 17,942 total stations. (29 New Stations since the day before)

Referring to the last post - May 20 = 17,779 total stations, so from that until may 27th, 2013 = 163 New Charging Stations Listed on PlugShare this week!

While the number of Charging Stations continue to grow - the number of tools to find, manage, plan, and enhance the use of Electric Vehicles continues to expand as well.

Short Summary Update to May 20th, 2013 for the Month Since Last Posting Tally

Having a difficulty after multiple attempts to get back in the activity stream with with my Android Phone or my Android Tablet to the April 21st Last Posting - I have decided to take and post what screen Captures I have going forward - and Tally them in Animations as shown below.

I know I won't be listing the actual new stations in this post, or the check-in activity or new pictures added, but I am sure they are in proportion to the growth in charger listings!

This First Animation is from April 30th, to May 6th, 2013 - showing the Tally of Charging Stations as reported on the Android PlugShare App:

Watching the Animation - You can see the Reported Tally Change - day by day:
Apr. 30 = 17,216 total stations,
May 02 = 17,227 total stations,
May 03 = 17,240 total stations,
May 04 = 17,304 total stations,
May 05 = 17,324 total stations,
May 06 = 17,354 total stations.

In this one week, there were added 138 new Stations listed on www.plugshare.com

In the Following week - May 7th to May 13th, 2013 - watching this animation - you can see the Reported Tally Change - day by day:
May 07 = 17,376 total stations,
May 08 = 17,446 total stations,
May 09 = 17,487 total stations,
May 10 = 17,511 total stations,
May 11 = 17,533 total stations,
May 12 = 17,561 total stations,
May 13 =  17,587 total stations.

In this one week, there were added 233 new Stations listed on www.plugshare.com (211 from these above and the difference from May 6th [17,354] to May 7th [17,376], as well)
Also Note - the Android App was upgraded this week from V2.5.4 to V2.6.

In the Following Week - May 14th to May 20th, 2013 - watching this animation you can see the Reported Tally Change - day by day (I have clipped the screen shots to what is relevant):

May 14 = 17,606 total stations,
May 15 = 17,646 total stations,
May 16 = 17,690 total stations,
May 17 = 17,714 total stations,
May 18 = 17,741 total stations,
May 19 = 17,764 total stations,
May 20 = 17,779 total stations.

In this one week, there were added 192 new Stations listed on www.plugshare.com (173 from above + 19 between May 13th and May 14th, 2013).

This Brings us to May 20th, 2013 - a Month past the last Tally Posting. In this time there has been at least 563 new chargers listed on the PlugShare website and Service. I will continue on through the next 4 weeks into June, Tomorrow!

Daily Posting Delay - heavy Electric Vehicle Event activities - Screen Captures should Help!

My apologies for the long delay in updates on this blog since April 21st!

There have been Elements of activity in completing the Electric Avenue 2013 Event, along with Work, and Electric Vehicle Events and scheduling, that have been consuming my extra time.

I have been trying to at least log reference points by editing the Daily minute by minute Activity notes via my Galaxy Note Phone - and taking screen Shots of them to save the file dates and Activity points for the daily reference.

Here is one of my earlier Examples - when I was practicing the screen capture of the 'About' Screen (Added into my March 10th Tally Posting) :



I may have missed a few days - but the goo news is that there are now over 18,000 Charging Stations listed on www.Plugshare.com - growing at the rate of about a 100 new stations each 3-5 days typically!

I hope to return to catching up on the blog shortly.

52 New Chargers Added 24 hours to Sunday - April 21st, 2013

Over the last 24 hours - there have been 44 New Public Chargers added to the PlugShare network, 5 Restricted Chargers, 69 New Photos, and 3 New home stations being shared. 

The additions tracked are:
